Odinn's Legacy CIC - Helping Animals. Supporting Owners. Creating Second Chances.

Meet The Team

The Volunteers Behind Odinn's Legacy CIC

Behind every fundraiser, event, grant and success story is a team of dedicated volunteers who share one thing in common: a passion for helping animals and the people who love them.

Odinn's Legacy CIC was created in memory of a very special Husky called Odinn. What began as one family's desire to help has grown into a community of supporters working together to make a difference.

Tony Kast

🐾 Tony Kast

Founder, Chairman & Trustee

Following the loss of Odinn, Tony wanted to ensure that Odinn’s memory would continue through helping other animals and their owners.

What began as fundraising for one dog in need quickly grew into Odinn’s Legacy CIC, supporting animals and families across the country.

When he’s not organising events, fundraising, fostering dogs or somehow finding room for more rescue stories, Tony can often be found talking about animals to anyone willing to listen.

The photo above was taken alongside Clive Jackson, lead singer of Dr & The Medics, proving that fundraising and rock legends can occasionally cross paths.

Over the years Tony has fostered numerous rescue dogs, each one leaving a lasting impression and playing a part in the continuing story of Odinn’s Legacy CIC.

Ken

🐾 Ken

Trustee & Vice Chairman

Ken became involved with Odinn’s Legacy CIC not long after the charity was founded and has been an important part of the team ever since.

Tony first met Ken while Ken was out walking Hunter, his first rescue Husky. It quickly became clear that they shared the same passion for rescue dogs and helping animals in need.

Over the years Ken opened both his home and his heart to more rescue dogs, eventually welcoming Angel and Merlin into the family. Through his own experiences, he saw first-hand the difference that rescue, patience and understanding can make to a dog’s life.

When Ken heard Major’s story and learned about the fundraising efforts needed to help him, he immediately wanted to get involved and support the work being carried out in Odinn’s name.

Since then, Ken has played a key role in helping Odinn’s Legacy CIC grow, supporting fundraising events, helping with decision-making and always being willing to lend a hand whenever needed.

His dedication to rescue dogs and his commitment to helping animals makes him a valued member of the charity and a trusted friend to everyone involved.

Louise

🐾 Louise

Trustee & Treasurer

Louise has grown up around foster dogs, rescue stories and charity fundraising.

She’s always been involved with helping Odinn’s Legacy CIC and now brings her experience and enthusiasm to the role of Treasurer..

Louise recently welcomed her own rescue dog, Eve, proving that the rescue bug runs strongly in the family.

Sue

🐾 Sue

Trustee & Secretary

Sue originally came along to help for a single weekend.

Several years later she’s still here and somehow manages to keep everything organised while coming up with new fundraising ideas.

Sue is responsible for many of the raffle prizes, tombolas and fundraising activities seen at events throughout the year.

She is also owned by two rescue Pugs, Freddie and Blue, who insist on accompanying her whenever possible.

Alfie

🐾 Alfie

Chief Catering Officer

As Tony’s dad, Alfie proves that Odinn’s Legacy CIC really is a family affair.

While everyone else is busy fundraising, helping visitors and running stalls, Alfie is responsible for the most important task of all: keeping everybody fed and caffeinated.

From caravan duties to emergency tea production, no event would run quite the same without him.

🐾 Volunteers

The Heart Of Odinn’s Legacy

Behind every successful fundraising event, every raffle prize collected, every gazebo erected in the rain and every animal helped is a team of dedicated volunteers giving their time and energy to support our cause.

Some help at events, some transport donations, some organise fundraising activities and others simply turn up whenever an extra pair of hands is needed. No matter the role, every volunteer makes a difference.

Odinn’s Legacy is built on kindness, teamwork and community spirit, and our volunteers embody all three. Their commitment allows us to continue helping animals and their owners when they need it most.

Quite simply, without our volunteers there would be no Odinn’s Legacy.

🐾 The four Legged Helpers

Koda The Saluki

🐾 Koda

Chief Morale Officer

Koda takes her role as Chief Morale Officer very seriously, although nobody is entirely sure whether she understands what morale actually is.

Her day usually begins with a thorough inspection of the nearest sofa before moving on to her primary responsibilities of supervising volunteers, accepting belly rubs and ensuring everyone takes regular fresh-air breaks.

Koda firmly believes every fundraising meeting should include at least one walk, two treats and an opportunity to show off her impressive speed.

While Salukis are known for their elegance and athletic ability, Koda is equally talented at becoming completely invisible whenever there is work to be done and instantly reappearing the moment food is available.

Her enthusiasm for life, love of adventure and ability to make people smile make her a valued member of the team.

Angel The Husky

🐾 Angel The Husky

Legacy Ambassador

Angel joined the team after finding her forever home through rescue and has been representing rescue dogs with pride ever since.

As a Husky, Angel believes every journey should be longer than necessary, every puddle should be investigated and every walk should include at least one attempt to negotiate a different route.

Angel excels at greeting visitors and demonstrating exactly why rescue dogs deserve a second chance.

She has become one of Odinn’s Legacy’s CIC most experienced ambassadors and is always happy to help educate people about fostering, rescuing and the joys of sharing your home with a Husky.

Angel’s greatest achievement is spreading enough Husky fur around events to ensure every visitor takes a little piece of rescue home with them.

Eve The American Akita

🐾 Eve The American Akita

Head Of Security

Eve proudly serves as Head Of Security and takes her responsibilities very seriously.

Every event site is carefully monitored, every vehicle arrival is observed and every suspicious-looking sandwich is investigated thoroughly.

Although her impressive appearance might suggest otherwise, Eve’s real speciality is making people smile and convincing them she deserves just one more treat.

No fundraising event is officially underway until Eve has completed her security assessment and decided that everything meets her exceptionally high standards.

Volunteers have learned that while Eve can be strict, her security checks become significantly easier if snacks are involved.

Blue The Pug

🐾 Blue The Pug

Inspiration Officer

Blue’s official job title is Inspiration Officer, although most people suspect the position was created specifically to justify his attendance at every fundraising event.

Blue has mastered the art of winning people over within seconds and firmly believes every visitor should stop what they are doing to admire him.

His talents include attracting attention from complete strangers, locating food from remarkable distances and convincing volunteers that sharing snacks is an important team-building exercise.

Despite his small stature, Blue approaches life with the confidence of a dog ten times his size and brings endless entertainment wherever he goes.

Through his charm, determination and unmistakable personality, Blue reminds everyone that sometimes the smallest team members can leave the biggest impression.

Freddie The Pug

🐾 Freddie The Pug

Director Of First Impressions

Freddie takes his role very seriously and believes every visitor, volunteer and supporter deserves a proper greeting.

Specialising in making new friends, attracting attention and ensuring nobody leaves without saying hello, Freddie has become one of Odinn’s Legacy’s CIC most dedicated ambassadors.

Whether he’s supervising fundraising events, inspecting raffle prizes or checking that everyone has remembered to bring snacks, Freddie is always eager to be involved.

His natural ability to make people smile has helped introduce countless visitors to Odinn’s Legacy CIC and its work, often proving that a wagging tail can be the best fundraising tool of all.

When he isn’t busy networking, Freddie can usually be found accepting cuddles, posing for photographs and carrying out important snack quality control inspections.

Meet The Team

🚗 The Lexus Support Team

Logistics & Transport Division

The Unsung Heroes Of Odinn’s Legacy CIC

Every organisation needs dependable team members and ours happen to be made in Japan.

Over the years these faithful Lexus RX vehicles have transported raffle prizes, tombola stock, camping equipment, foster dogs, volunteers and occasionally far more dog hair than any vehicle manufacturer ever intended.

They have travelled to shows, fundraising events and rescue missions carrying everything from gazebos to dog beds.
