Legacy & Remembrance

Remembering Those Who Will Always Be Part Of Our Family

Odinn's Legacy CIC would be nowhere without the incredible volunteers who helped us, both two-legged and four-legged.

This page is dedicated to those we have loved and lost, but who will remain part of our family forever.

  Keeta
Keeta enjoying one of her adventures, always happy, always loved and forever remembered.

🐾 Keeta

Keeta was an amazing Husky with a heart of gold. Gentle, loving and full of character, she had a way of making everyone around her smile.

She was lucky enough to meet and play with Odinn, creating memories that those who knew them will always treasure.

Sadly, Keeta’s life was cut short following a severe reaction to fireworks. The shock proved too much for her and her loss devastated everyone who knew and loved her.

“The smallest paws leave the biggest footprints on our hearts.”
Blu
Blu enjoying the outdoors and watching over the family he loved.

🐾 Blu

Blu was the leader of the pack. What Blu said was final, unless his owner had something different to say.

As a youngster, Blu was a complete hooligan, destroying anything he could get hold of. As he matured he became one of the most incredible dogs anyone could wish for.

Highly intelligent and incredibly gentle, Blu loved children and enjoyed nothing more than cuddling beside them.

Sadly Blu lost his battle with cancer, leaving a huge hole in the hearts of everyone who knew him.

“Run free, Blu. You will always be loved and never forgotten.”
Diezel
Diezel, safe and loved after finally finding the family he deserved.

🐾 Diezel

Diezel was a unique mix of American Akita, German Shepherd and Husky. He came to his family after being placed on a euthanasia list.

Vets soon discovered he was living with a fractured jaw and a cracked tooth. Much of the behaviour people misunderstood came from pain and fear.

Once settled into his forever home he became fiercely loyal and devoted, always watching over the people he loved.

At fourteen years old his mobility began to decline, and the heartbreaking decision was made to let him go peacefully.

“Some dogs are rescued. Others rescue us right back.”
Kaiser
Kaiser relaxing at home, always ready to make another friend.

🐾 Kaiser

Kaiser was a Husky crossed with a Golden Labrador. His floppy ears and quirky appearance made him unforgettable.

Although he spent almost a year waiting for a home, he eventually became a so-called “failed foster” and stayed exactly where he belonged.

Kaiser loved everyone and had a unique ability to make people smile. He became well known wherever he went.

He later developed health problems and eventually passed peacefully in his sleep.

“Kaiser may have started life unwanted, but he left this world deeply loved.”
Merlin
Merlin, safe, loved and finally surrounded by people he trusted.

🐾 Merlin

Merlin was a beautiful Red Husky and one of the famous Smarden 18.

Initially nervous and unsure of people, he slowly learned to trust through patience, understanding and love.

Sadly Merlin suffered ongoing health problems and despite many tests, no one was ever able to determine the exact cause.

His final years were spent surrounded by comfort, safety and happiness.

“Even the most uncertain hearts can learn to trust again.”
Hunter
Hunter doing what he loved best, being admired by everyone around him.

🐾 Hunter

Hunter lived happily as an only dog until Angel joined the family, giving him a whole new lease of life.

Hunter became one of the most recognisable dogs within the Husky community and loved being the centre of attention.

During a fundraising weekend Hunter suddenly became ill. Despite urgent veterinary care, there was nothing more that could be done.

His loss was felt by everyone attending the event and by all who knew him.

“Hunter left paw prints not only on the ground, but also on our hearts.”
In Memory of Pauline

💙 Pauline 💙

A Two-Legged Helper

Sadly, not all of the helpers we have lost had four legs.

We also lost a very dear friend called Pauline.

Pauline touched the lives of countless animals and people. Her kindness, support and friendship will never be forgotten.

Pauline was always there for the animals and for her friends.
Whenever Odinn’s Legacy needed help, Pauline was there.

She cared deeply about others and gave her time freely to support
events, fundraisers and animal welfare initiatives.

Pauline also served as a first aider at many Odinn’s Legacy events,
always ready to help whenever she was needed.

Her kindness, friendship and dedication touched the lives of many
people and animals.

The world is not the same without Pauline and she is truly missed by all.
